Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting
April 1, 2020

2 Kings 7:1-21     2 Samuel 5:24

James 4:15

Greater Concord Missionary Baptist Church, tonight is Wednesday night, PRAYER MEETING NIGHT in most Baptist Churches, of which most members do not attend. But at 5:00 a.m. this morning, as I was communing with God for all of Greater Concord MBC in prayer, I began to think about the benefits of the Corona Virus.

WHAT BENEFITS!? The virus has killed thousands of people! What benefits? Well, it has locked down the world socially, physically, economically, educationally, as well as spiritually. What benefits? Well, tonight is prayer meeting night. When was the last time you had family prayer together? When was the last time you watched a movie together? Had breakfast together? Dinner? A good night with each other? The virus has brought husbands and wives home together! Fathers and mothers home to children! The virus just might be saving some marriage! The virus has even slowed down the drug pushers; slowed down the liquor stores, and the lotto line.

Tonight is prayer night. There is no excuse for not having family prayer. It's been a long time since families have prayed together. World, the God that caused the noise in the tops of the Mulberry trees and caused the Syrian Army to flee; and feed four lepers and then the whole city. He can cause a noise if we strike out in the twilight of the night. God will move. (II Kings 7:1-21; II Samuel 5:24) Tonight is prayer night! Your prayer is James 4:15 - "For that ye ought to say, if the Lord will, we shall live, and do this or that." If it is His will, He will save His universe. It's PRAYER TIME!
