As I come to us
tonight, the world
is experiencing its
greatest dilemma,
its greatest crisis,
its greatest
circumstances, its
greatest problems,
and there is no one
that knows when it
will end. The world
is in an economic
crisis, a moral
crisis, an
educational crisis
and most of all, a
spiritual crisis.
Now, the world can
regain its spiritual
power.
This Psalm is a
history lesson; God
does not want us to
forget the lessons
of history. We have
the miracle recalled
in 114:1-2, the
method recounted
114:3-6; and the
moral recorded
114:7-8. The water
miracles at the Red
Sea, at the Jordan,
at Horeb (Exodus
17:6) and at Kadesh
(Numbers 20:11).
The power that we
need to get out of
this pandemic crisis
is spiritual power!
God does not invest
His power
promiscuously in
everyone who comes
demanding it.
Spiritual power has
three prerequisites.
The first secret of
spiritual power is
separation. Turning
away from the
world’s language,
the world’s way of
thinking, to listen
to what God has to
say.
The second way of
receiving spiritual
power from God is
sanctification.
Sanctification sets
us apart for God.
Joshua 3: sanctify
yourselves for
tomorrow, the Lord
will work wonders
among us.
Lastly, if you want
spiritual power from
God, you must
surrender. God will
not give His power
to those who are not
in submission to
Him. There are two
results of spiritual
power. (114:3-6)
Things begin to
happen. The seas
flee away, rivers
part wide, mountains
and hills began to
shake. We want it to
be very evident that
God is at work.
Separation,
sanctification and
surrender. Prayer
works!
