The Power
of Faith
Matthew 21:21,22
Thank God we have made
it to another Wednesday
night! Although we are
not at the House of
God; from wherever we
are, we can still pray.
If we believe, if we
have faith in God
Almighty, our prayers
will be heard and
answered.
Allow me to share with
us tonight: The Power of
Faith. “If ye have
faith, and doubt not…ye
shall say unto this
mountain, be ye removed,
and be thou cast into
the sea; it shall be
done.” Faith is
powerful. Hebrews 11 is
the record of faith.
The prayer of faith:
“All things, whatsoever
ye ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall
receive.” (Matthew
21:21) Christ gives a
great promise for those
who pray in faith. This
is not faith in prayer,
but prayer in faith. It
is faith in God and His
Word.
When I look at the
extent of this promise:
“All things”, the prayer
of faith is not limited
to any particular
subject or location. It
has a wide application
to every situation in
our life. Now, the
exception in this
promise is “Believing”.
The promise is only good
if we pray by faith.
Faith means we pray
according to the will of
God. Thus, “ye ask, and
receive not, because ye
ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your
lusts.” (James
4:3) Many of our
prayers are not prayed
by faith, but are
motivated by fleshly
lusts, by greedy
desires. “All things”
does not include praying
outside the will of God.
If you pray and do not
receive, the problem is
lack of faith. So let us
pray by faith that the
will of God be done.
Lord, Thy will be done!
